I have a very hard time returning an overhead banger that does land inside the court. Any tips?
That’s one of the hardest shots in pickleball to return. One that’s hit at a downward angle at your feet. Avoiding that position in the first place is the best strategy. However there are times when you will be in a defensive position, and unfortunately, the answer as to what to do is it depends. Since you are typically on the serve side when that happens there are a lot of variables. That said the first thing I’d check is positioning. Have you moved too far into the court on a shot that was attackable? Did you split step and get ready for the overhead? Is your paddle low with a relaxed wrist?
